At first, I didn't know what to think. Many jar openers are the same- plastic. My grandmother had had several and all were hard to use. This one works well and is easy to use. It manipulates the lid to remove the vacuum seal and than provides more than sufficient leverage to open a jar. Pretty much no effort. Great for when you get older or just don't want to tear up your hand opening a problematic jar.

These are awesome. First thing is that you get 2, so that's a great idea. I like to have a spare. Second, they offer a wide range of sizes that they accommodate. From water bottles to large food jars. They do require some mechanics to operate but once you get the hang of it they work very well.

Seeks to work well on opening jars and bottles. Good grip and leverage. You need to be careful with plastic bottles and caps. Too much pressure will deform both the bottle and cap and make it hard to turn. In this case, you need to use just a little pressure to break the seal and then lighten up to open it. Fairly well-designed.
